I live and minister in Richland, Michigan at Richland Bible Church. I have been married to my amazing wife, Valerie, since June of 2003.
As you can see, I am a die-hard Texas Longhorns fan. I live and die on every down of Longhorn football each fall.
We don’t have any kids (yet) but we do have two dogs. Emma, our beagle, and Stella, our English Bulldog.
I have a life-long calling to serve in the local church. I have a passion for leading people into a relationship with God and helping them understand where they fit in this puzzle called life. I learn the most through serving others.
My wife and I like to go to the movies, eat sushi, play with our dogs and visit Ikea at least once a week.
My life’s passion is to proclaim and live the truth that: God is most glorified in us when we are most satisfied in Him.
My passion is also a personal calling to grow in the knowledge of God’s sovereignty in every aspect of life.
My mission in life and ministry is to spread a passion for the supremacy of God in all things for the joy of all peoples through Jesus Christ. To do this I must relentlessly point people to Christ. He is the ground and the goal of all my joy.
There is no way I can fulfill my mission apart from pointing people to “the light of the Gospel of the glory of Christ, who is the image of God.” (2 Corinthians 4:4)

John- hey! Val reminded me when we had dinner the other night that you had a blog, too.
LOVE it. Very honest and it’s so refreshing to read.
John! I found your blog online. You have got to email me and catch me up on how things are going!
You broke my tennis racket.
